It’s weird to think that only two weeks ago today Matt and I were exploring the beautiful Dubrovnik Old Town, enjoying the sun and pointing at all the Game of Throne locations!
We recently spent a week away in Montenegro which I will be telling you all about in a separate post but as we rented a car for the week and it was only two hours away from our hotel we decided to make the most of it and have a little road trip to Croatia. Croatia had been high on our list for a long time and as very avid newbie Game of Thrones fans, I especially was very excited.
We had been warned that parking was somewhat of a nightmare so based on some google searches and our trusty guide book we parked at the port (one of the cheapest options), next to the local bus station and a 30 minute walk away from the Old Town . We visited the tourist information centre and decided to get a one day Dubrovnik Card to make the most of it. For about £20 each the card gave us free public transport, entry that day to a range of attractions including the city walls (which cost £14 alone), the maritime museum, the cultural historical museum and more – plus a handy map so we didn’t get lost. If you want to walk around the city walls (which is a must) and even potentially just visit one other attraction the card is definitely worth it.
I could write paragraphs on the many reasons as to why you should visit but I think a photo diary sums it up pretty nicely. Enjoy!
