Yorkshire Day at Ingleton Waterfall

Happy Yorkshire Day! The day where we get to celebrate the best county in the United Kingdom – obviously. Luckily this beautiful day also happened to fall on a team away day at work so we got to spend the day in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales at the Ingleton Waterfall trail.

Situated in North Yorkshire in the small village of Ingleton the 8km route takes walkers around the banks of the River Twiss and past some spectacular waterfalls such as Pecca Falls and Thornton Force. My geography degree was put to test whilst walking around! We were very lucky with the weather and made the most of the sun with a few breaks along the way to stop at the ice-cream vans which somehow managed to get up there!

It took us around 2 1/2 – 3 hours and it was definitely worth it. The views were spectacular and it was so lovely to get out into the countryside, breathe in the fresh air and just enjoy England! It’s definitely something I take for advantage and it reminded me what’s pretty much on my doorstep. I always feel so calm and happy after a long walk in the countryside so I’m ready for a positive and productive day tomorrow. It just helps you piece your thoughts together nicely 🙂

Here are some photos from the day just incase you’re not yet convinced….and no they haven’t been edited at all!

Thanks to this fantastic bunch of people for a great day. GO TEAM!
